Race Day Registration*
Race Day Registration: 10:30AM - 1:00PM, Saturday, January 28.

Registration for the Half-Marathon will close promptly at 11:00am. The 3 mile and 8 3/4 mile races will close promptly at 11:45 AM so the race can begin on time. Registration will remain open until 1:00 for the 5 3/4 mile race ONLY.

Course: The course varies from paved, level road to slight hills to packed wet sand with a river crossing in between. The Little River crossing is done at low tide to minimize the water depth but depending on the amount of recent rainfall, the water depth can vary. Ropes across the river assist runners as well as Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers stationed at the river. (see COURSE page for more information)

Timing and Scoring: Timing for this race will be done using the MYLAPS “Chip on the Bib”. Please note the following to ensure you are using this Timing Chip properly:

  • You must wear your bib. It must be worn on the front of your shirt. NOTE! It is preferable that you wear the bib so that the number is visible from the front so that you can be identified by the photographer.
  • DO NOT crumple or fold the bib as this will break the transponder antenna.
  • DO NOT place the bib between your body and your child’s (i.e. this is what happens when you carry your child when finishing the race). This action will prevent the transponder from sending its signal.
  • DO NOT remove your shirt and carry it folded up in your hand. This action may prevent the transponder from sending its signal if the bib itself is folded or inside your moist shirt.
  • The Timing Chip is disposable so there is no need to return it after the race. If you wish to RECYCLE the TIMING CHIP please leave it affixed to the bib and turn in the entire bib at the finish line.

Award Divisions (All Races): Ages 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 64-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.

Awards and Results: Distinctive awards will be given to the first through third place Male and Female finishers in each race. Special awards will also be given to Over-All Champions, Masters, & Senior Males & Female in the 8 -Mile. Awards can be obtained by emailing trinidadtoclambeach@gmail.com or calling (707) 677-1610

Results will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at Saunders Park and Clam Beach and posted at Trinidad Town Hall and will be available online at www.racecenter.com and www.trinidadtoclambeach.com.

NOTE: T-shirts will not be mailed. "Rain Check" t-shirts not picked up at the race will be available for pick up at the locations and dates indicated on the rain check form.

Shoes: Shoes can be left at the South bank of the Little River and will be carried to the Finish Line for pick-up. The event is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Elevation and weather: Course elevation is sea level to approximately 200 feet above sea level. Weather can vary greatly, from warm sunshine to cool and foggy to rain. Temperatures are usually 50-60's.

Parking: Parking is available in Trinidad. No parking is available at the starting line of the Half Marathon, 3-Mile or 8 ¾ Mile.

Transportation: Runners will be bused from Trinidad Town Hall to the starting line of the 3-Mile and 8 ¾ Mile starting line. The last bus will leave at 12:00 PM. THERE IS NO TRANSPORTATION FROM CLAM BEACH TO THE STARTING LINE OR TO TRINIDAD BEFORE THE START OF THE RACE. Buses will transport runners from Clam Beach back to Trinidad Town Hall after the start of the race.

Warm-up clothing: Bags are available at the Starting line water stations
for warm-ups. Write your name and phone number on the bag and leave it at
the start line. Bags will be taken to the finish.

Children: Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult while running in the race.

The race-weekend celebration will also include a Spaghetti feed on Friday, Jan. 27th, from 5:30-7:15 pm in the Trinidad school cafeteria. Delicious homemade red sauce (meat & vegetarian options), salad, bread, drinks & desserts. Plus a Dutch auction with lots of prizes. The weather in February can be cool and wet. Heavy rain is a possibility - so be prepared! No changing space/rooms are provided. Portable bathroom facilities are available at the start and finish.

Due to insurance limitations, no baby strollers, dogs, bicycles, or headsets are permitted in any of the races.

If the race is cancelled due to circumstances beyond control of the Greater Trinidad Chamber of Commerce, entry fees will not be refunded; however, all entrants will receive a T-shirt.
