The
Trinidad to Clam Beach Run began as a winter training
race for Humboldt State Track and Field runners. Over
the years, it has evolved into a nationally known run,
with a 3 mile and 5 ¾ mile run being added.
The
unique feature of the run is crossing the mouth of the
Little River at Moonstone Beach. Thus, the date and start
time of the race are determined by the height of the tide
on either the last Saturday of January or the first Saturday
of February.
